client certificate
A certificate the device presents so the broker can check the device's identity.
In mutual TLS the client also presents a certificate and proves it holds the matching private key, so the server authenticates the client cryptographically rather than by password.
Examples
With
require_certificate truein Mosquitto, nodegh-a1presents its own client certificate during the handshake, anduse_identity_as_username truemakes its certificate name its username.
