connection interval
How often two connected BLE devices wake up to exchange data.
The connection interval (7.5 ms to 4 s) is the period at which central and peripheral meet to exchange packets, trading latency and throughput against power.
Examples
At a 30 ms interval with one 20-byte notification each, throughput is about 667 bytes a second.
An MTU of 247, four notifications per event and a 15 ms interval reach about 65,000 bytes a second.
