fleet

All the devices a team runs, managed together rather than one by one.

A fleet is the population of deployed devices under one operator, organised into groups for configuration, update and monitoring.

Examples

  • A grower's 160 nodes are managed as a fleet: grouped as greenhouse-2 or tagged model=fan-v2, and an inventory answers "which devices run old firmware?"
