Free public beta until December 4, 2026: every course is open, no card needed. After that, the first chapter of each course stays free and full access is a one-time $39 ($19 for up to 100 founding members chosen for helpful feedback). Your progress is kept. How the beta works

tags and fields

Tags say which device a reading came from; fields hold the measured numbers.

In the time-series data model, tags are indexed metadata (device ID, site) used to select series, and fields are the measured values, which are not indexed.

Examples

  • In a greenhouse reading, site = gh1, device = gh-a1 and kind = climate are tags you filter by, while temp_c, rh_pct and batt_mv are fields you average.
