parabolic

The classification for a PDE whose discriminant D = B^2 - 4AC is exactly zero, e.g. the heat equation.

A second-order linear PDE is parabolic at a point where D=B^2-4AC=0; the heat equation (A=1, B=C=0) is parabolic everywhere.
