Robin condition

A boundary condition that prescribes a fixed linear combination of u and its normal derivative on the boundary.

A Robin condition prescribes a linear combination \alpha u + \beta\,\partial u/\partial n on the boundary, for fixed constants \alpha,\beta both nonzero -- the mixed case between a Dirichlet condition (\beta=0) and a Neumann condition (\alpha=0).
